A hate-crime has been committed in a the small city of Braxton, N.Y. Five migrant laborers have been beaten, shot, then ditched. This will upset the delicate balance of an ethnically diverse populace.

Methodic tells the story of a boy who becomes demonically possessed by an ominous presence known as "The Dollman". Forced to obey his dark half, the boy ultimately murders his parents on his birthday and is sentenced to a life under a microscope at the state mental hospital. But evil cannot be contained so easily. Instead, "The Dollman" simply bides his time, dwelling within the boy- waiting for the day when he will become powerful enough to completely take over his human host. And when that day comes, god help us all.

Will Spanner, the reluctant heir to a dark legacy, is once again thrown into battle against the forces of evil when a series of gruesome murders begins to take place. The victims are all brutally murdered in a ritualistic fashion - the heart is missing from each of the corpses. All of the victims also have something in common with Will, something that the minions of darkness will stop at nothing to possess. Can Will Spanner unravel the mystery surrounding the murders before it is too late? Or will he finally succumb to the darkness that courses through his veins?
